Build your child’s reading confidence — one page at a time.
A fun, 30-minute weekly book club led by real teachers, designed to help early readers grow, connect, and succeed.

Just 30 minutes a week. A lifetime of confidence.
At Read More Books, children build confidence, discover stories they love, and develop reading habits that last.
31%
Only 31% of U.S. 4th graders read proficiently. Early, joyful support helps more children reach — and surpass — that milestone.
4x
Children who struggle with reading early are 4× more likely to drop out of high school. The earlier we step in, the better.
Grades 1-4
The window for building lifelong reading habits is narrow. These are the years where the right support changes everything.
Who we are
Built for families. Driven by joy.
We’re rethinking how early reading support looks — by bringing families, guidance, and encouragement together in one place.
Our Mission
Read More Books empowers children to become confident, curious readers by making literacy joyful and accessible through weekly book clubs, family engagement, and community partnerships. We guide young readers as they build confidence and explore stories—one page at a time.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every child has the confidence, curiosity, and opportunity to thrive through reading. What started as a commitment to the families of Chester County, PA has grown into something bigger — a network of readers, teachers, and families stretching across communities near and far. Because every child deserves joyful reading experiences, regardless of background, income, or zip code.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our virtual book club, enrollment, and how to support our mission.
Program Basics — How the Book Club Works
What is Read More Books?
Read More Books (RMB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that runs weekly virtual book clubs for children in grades 1–4. Our sessions are led by trained reading teachers and designed to make literacy joyful, social, and confidence-building — one page at a time.
How does the Virtual Book Club work?
Sessions are held weekly on Zoom and last 30 minutes. A trained reading facilitator leads children through shared reading, vocabulary building, fluency practice, and group discussion. Each child joins alongside a parent or guardian who serves as their ‘reading coach.’
What grades does RMB serve?
Our book club is designed for children in 1st through 4th grade — a critical developmental window when children transition from learning to read to reading to learn.
Who leads the sessions?
All sessions are facilitated by trained reading teachers or certified literacy specialists. Our facilitators are warm, encouraging, and experienced in supporting early readers.
What books do you read?
Each cohort reads a carefully selected book appropriate for the grade range, chosen to spark curiosity, build vocabulary, and invite rich discussion. Cohorts complete approximately one book per month. Families are notified of the book before the cohort begins.
What does my child need to participate?
A device with a camera and microphone (tablet, laptop, or desktop), a stable internet connection, a copy of the selected book, and a parent or guardian available to join the session as a reading coach.
Enrollment & Registration
How do I sign my child up?
Registration is available on our website. Simply complete the enrollment form, agree to the participation guidelines, and you’ll receive a confirmation with session details and your Zoom link.
Is there a cost to join?
Read More Books is committed to making literacy support accessible. Each family is encouraged to support the organization with a $32 monthly donation. Please visit our website or contact us directly for information on scholarships or fee waivers.
How many children are in each session?
We keep our groups intentionally small to ensure every child gets personal attention. Group sizes are limited to maximize engagement and create a safe, welcoming space for every reader.
What if we miss a session?
We understand life gets busy! Please notify us in advance when possible. While consistent attendance leads to the best experience, we’ll keep you updated on what was covered so your reader stays connected.
Can my child join mid-cohort?
We recommend enrolling at the start of a cohort for the best experience. Depending on availability and where the group is in the book, late enrollment may be possible. Contact us to find out.
How long does a cohort last?
Our cohorts are designed to grow with your child — ideally from 1st grade through 4th grade. Each cohort completes approximately one book per month, giving your reader a rich and ongoing literary journey year after year.
